MISSION STATEMENT

To provide scholarships and grants for post-secondary students.

To promote higher education for women of all ages.

To cultivate community service and development opportunities.

To promote health and safety awareness.

To provide financial empowerment/ educational opportunities for youth and women of all ages. 

These objectives are carried out through advocacy, public education and a variety of projects and activities which will have a positive impact on the communities in the Chicagoland area.  At the forefront of our community thrust are the vulnerable, the disenfranchised and at-risk families.

WELCOME TO THE BEACON OF LIGHT FOUNDATION OF ETA XI SIGMA ALUMNAE CHAPTER OF SIGMA GAMMA RHO SORORITY, INC.

 

The mission of the Beacon of Light Foundation is to provide scholarships and grants for post-secondary students; promote higher education for women of all ages;  cultivate community service and development opportunities; promote health and safety awareness, and provide financial empowerment/educational opportunities for youth and women of all ages.  These objectives are carried out through advocacy, public education and a variety of projects and activities which will have a positive impact on the communities in the Chicagoland area.  At the forefront of our community thrust are the vulnerable, the disenfranchised and at-risk families.
